What is SocialBackster.com?
It is an innovative Web 2.0 website that offers cost-effective and secure backup solutions for some of the major social network sites. By using our application, you can quickly backup on your computer your unique profile information (friends lists, messages, pictures, and many more), browse and use offline your profile content, update your backup on a timely basis, and restore your profile information online when needed. Currently, we are offering a backup solution for MySpace only, but more applications for other social networking sites are on the way, so be on the lookout!

What is "SpaceBackster" and what does it do?
"SpaceBackster" is a MySpace backup tool which allows you to download on your computer your entire MySpace profile. Once downloaded, you can browse and use all your profile content offline. In addition, you can also update your back-up content when there are changes to your online profile information. The application can also restore your entire profile back online, if something happens to your original MySpace profile. For a list with application features click here.

Do I need specific software to use the application?
Yes, you need Adobe Air installed on your computer in order to be able to use the application. If you don't have it, it will be installed automatically with the installation of the application. If you want to install it by yourself, you can get it for free here

What platforms does "SpaceBackster" work on?
Our application works on Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OSX Leopard and Tiger.

Do I need Adobe Aid installed to run the "SpaceBackster"?
Yes, you do! Our application runs on the Adobe Air platform so you need to have it installed on your computer in order the use the application. The good news is that if you don't have Adobe Air, it will be installed automatically with the installation of our application. If you want to install it by yourself, you can get it for free here.

How can I purchase "SpaceBackster"?
Go to our purchase page and click on the download button. You will be redirected to PayPal secure page where you can enter you payment information. Once you complete your payment you will be directed to a download page from where you can download the application. In addition, a serial key will be e-mailed to the e-mail address you provided during the payment process. This serial key is used to access the application from your computer. Once you have downloaded "SpaceBackster", open the setup file and install the application. When you are done with the installation process and you open the application you will be prompted to enter your serial key - copy it from the e-mail you received and hit the OK button. You are now done and can back-up your MySpace profile!

What are the payment options?
All payments are processed through PayPal. PayPal accepts all major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. You can also pay with an e-Check or with a direct transfer from your checking or savings account.

Do I need to have a PayPal account in order to pay through PayPal?
No, you can pay with a credit or debit card without the need to be registered with PayPal. However, if you want to use an eCheck or bank transfer you need to have a valid PayPal account.

What is the price of the application?
The price of the application is USD 2.95 recurring payment per quarter (every 3 months). For less than a buck per month, which is what you spend on a cup of coffee, you will be able to save and enjoy your entire MySpace profile offline.

What is a recurring payment?
It means that you will be charged automatically $2.95 once every 3 months for as long as you want to use the application.

Why a recurring payment and not a one-time fee?
Whereas some service providers charge you a one-time fee for the use of their applications and then charge you again for each additional new feature or upgrades to the application, we decided to use a better pricing model which will save you both time and money. By charging our clients one small quarterly payment, we ensure that you will enjoy for free the new features released and application upgrades that we are constantly working on and adding to the application. You won't be charged anything extra no matter what new cutting-edge features and functionality we develop.

What happens once I complete my first payment?
Once your first payment is completed, a "subscription" is created through which you will be charged on a quarterly basis. All details of this subscription will be e-mailed to you by PayPal. If you already have a PayPal account, all the details of the subscription will be automatically saved into your history so you can review/edit/cancel your subscription.

How can I cancel my subscription?
If you have a PayPal account, log in to it, go to the History tab, select the date (or date range) when you first created the subscription, from the "More Filters" drop down menu choose "Subscriptions and agreement" and then "Subscriptions" and perform a search. Once you have located your subscription to SocialBackster.com click on "Details". On the page that opens, on the bottom click on "Cancel Subscription".
If you don't have a PayPal account please contact us providing your name and e-mail address used at the time of payment and we will cancel the subscription.

Is "SpaceBackster" compliant with MySpace.com?
Yes! The application is registered on MySpace.com and it is build using the official MySpace API. It is also in compliance with MySpace's Terms of Use Agreeemnt, with MySpace Apps Developer Addendum to MySpace.com Terms of Use Agreement and with MySpaceID Developer Addendum to MySpace.com Terms of Use Agreement.

We have designed our application to be able to backup up to two MySpace profiles. If you need to use the application on more than two profiles please contact us and we'll address your needs.

If something happens to my profile can I use the app to restore all the data?
Of course you can, this is one of the most valuable features of our application. All the data that you have downloaded using our application can be easily uploaded back to the same or a new account on MySpace.com.

Is the restore function paid? No, no additional payments are required in order to use the "restore" function and all other feature of our application. Your subscription enables you to enjoy all of them free of charge.
